It's the final weekend of
warm-ups - next Saturday we get going for real and the picks
will count! Hopefully uLAr will take this as an
opportunity to tune up for the regular season rather than sit
out! Are you ready? Find out if we are!

now Puckin', no need to go there. But take notice that
only a sit-out will enable you to de-throne me as champion come
Regular Season !

UPDATE @ 22:00 - uLAr appears to be
missing in action as Puckin' so far has swept the picks...even
without uLAr picking the combined record is greater than .500!!
Too bad it's only pre-season...
Well this is almost more like
it, but still fairly quiet for a Saturday, with 9 games on the
pre-season tap - 4 of them will be played at neutral sites -
BOS-NYI will play in Manchester, OTT-PIT in Wilkes-Barre,
NSH-STL in Kansas City, and COL-LA in Vegas (hence the "vs"
rather than the "@" in some of the matchups)! Even though
it's only pre-season, last week was interesting to say the
least!
So far, despite what the
critics say, scoring is up with the new rules and fans love the
shootout! Fans have an opportunity to catch another
glimpse of Mario, Sidney & company, so let's hope fans pack the
Wachovia Center this time (less than 4,500 fans on Wednesday
night is simply pathetic if you ask me!). Some big
rivalries are playing tonight as well with Toronto hooking up
with Montreal and Florida meeting the Stanley Cup Champs of '04
in Tampa.
Now time to see if uLAr &
Puckin can improve upon a .500 record from Week 1. It's
all about bragging rights baby!! |
